Our commitment to you
EZ Drive Inc. (“we”, “us”, “EZ”) recognizes that your relationship with us is based on trust, and that you expect us to act responsibly and in your best interests. Because your personal and financial data are your private information, and because we need access to some of that information in our rendering of services to you, we hold ourselves to the highest standards in their safekeeping and use.
This means, most importantly, that we do not sell user or prospective user information—whether it is your personal information or the fact that you are or may become a user—to anyone.
Instead, we use your information primarily to complete transactions that you request or to make you aware of other products and services that we offer or sponsor. The information you provide to us may reveal, or allow others to identify, your nationality, ethnic origin, gender, age, and other aspects of your life. By providing information to us, you are expressly and voluntarily accepting the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy that allows EZ to process information about you. Supplying information to EZ, including any information deemed “sensitive” by applicable law, is entirely voluntary on your part. You have the right to withdraw your consent to EZ’s collection and processing of your information at any time, in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy by closing your account, but please note that your withdrawal of consent will not be retroactive.
The personal information we collect about you
You provide personal information when you sign up for our products or services. You also provide personal information when you request literature or a transaction that involves EZ or one of the EZ-affiliated companies.
In addition to personal information you provide to us, we may receive information about you that you authorize third parties (such as dealerships and the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles) to provide to us. We also may obtain personal information from third-party service providers in order to verify your identity, your creditworthiness, to prevent fraud, or to help us identify products and services that may be of interest to you. Personal information collected from any source may include, among other things, your name and address, Social Security or taxpayer identification number, date of birth, assets, income, account balances, investment activity, and accounts at other institutions. The information we collect about you may be transferred to or stored by EZ or our service providers in the United States or elsewhere, as permitted by law.
How we handle your personal information
We do not sell personal information about current or former users or their accounts to third parties. Nor do we share personal information about users or prospective users, except when needed to complete transactions done at your request or to make you aware of products and services that we offer. Here are the details:
In order to complete certain transactions or account changes that you direct, it may be necessary to provide identifying information about you to companies, individuals, or groups that are not affiliated with EZ.
In order to alert you to other products and services that EZ offers or sponsors, we may share your information within the EZ family of affiliated companies or with our business partners, to the extent permitted by law. This would include, for example, sharing your information within EZ to make you aware of new EZ products or services.
In certain instances, we may contract with nonaffiliated companies to perform services for us. Where necessary, we will disclose information we have about you to these third parties. In all such cases, we provide the third party with only the personal information necessary to carry out its assigned responsibilities, and only for that purpose. And we require these third parties to treat your personal information with the same high degree of confidentiality that we do.
Finally, we will release information about you if you direct or authorize us to do so, if we are compelled by law to do so, or in other legally limited circumstances (for example, to prevent fraud). We may also do so in the event we decide to sell the company, or any part of it, as a going concern.
We will communicate with you through email, personal notice, telephone, and mobile text messages. We may send you emails that help inform new users about our services, and we will also send you service messages relating thereto. We may also send you messages with promotional information directly or on behalf of our partners, unless you have opted out of receiving promotional information.
You can change your e-mail and contact preferences at any time by contacting us in writing. If you wish, you can also opt-out of receiving promotional emails by sending a request to our customer service.
Please be aware that you cannot opt-out of receiving service messages from EZ. Also, if we send communications to you via the carrier service with which you have a mobile communications subscription or otherwise have access, you understand you will pay any service fees associated with your receipt of messages on your mobile device (including text messaging charges).
